Fishing on the UmpquaRiver continues to still be fantastic. With steady count of eight to ten fish days, and an average size of eight to fifteen pounds! Most of these fish are still “chrome bright” and full of fight. We are still getting a little bit of rain from time to time, but for the most part the weather has been very pleasant.

Remember, All “Wild” Steelhead must be released back into the river when fishing the Umpqua. We will continue to fish the UmpquaRiver until the run begins to slow later this month. We will then move to the Upper Rogue River for a late run of Winter Steelhead!

Fishing continues to be very good on the UmpquaRiver. We are averaging 8 to 10 fish per day with most of the fish averaging 10 lbs. The later part of the week brought us some really nice steelhead. A few of the fish weighing in at 14 lbs, and one hatchery female, tipping the scale at 17 lbs. The river conditions are still in great shape and should continue with brief storms that pass through not having much affect on them.
