So after some much needed R and R it’s back on the Rogue River. The steelhead fishing is starting to rock and roll on the Upper Rogue. Most of the boats are averaging six to ten fish per day, in the 4 to 6 lb range, with a ratio of 50/50 hatchery to wild fish. At the coast, there’s still is a chance to catch some trophy size “Kings” on the ChetcoRiver in the up coming weeks if the weather cooperates. With the recent rains that came thru, a big push of these late fall Chinooks moved into the river. So if you’re looking to hook into one of these “Hogs”, you better book a trip soon, this run doesn’t last too long!

We have some rain coming in this week and that will just push more fish up into the river.

For those of you who have been thinking of booking a winter steelhead trip this up coming season, this is the year to do it. Bill will be fishing out of his “New, Custom Built”, Bolton drift boat, equipped with heaters and an oven! Prime days are filling fast, so Don’t hesitate and book your trip today.
