Even with the high river flow, Steelhead continues to be fantastic on the Upper Rogue River. Most of the days we are getting limits of Steelhead running 6 – 13 lbs. The first Spring Salmon on the Upper Rogue was caught this week. Reports of twenty two other Springers were also reported caught below the Old Gold Ray Dam. Spring Salmon Fishing continues to be very good on the Lower Rogue, and with the current river flows, more of these Springers should arrive up river soon

Steelhead fishing the Upper Rogue River continued to improve this week with six to nine fish days. Most fish are running between 6-10 lbs. The Lower Rogue is starting to get a good run of Spring Salmon and they should be arriving to the upper river soon.

Well, it took a while before the rivers got back into shape with all of the rain we’ve been having. This past week, Steelhead fishing on the South Umpqua and Upper Rogue River was a hit or miss from day to day. Fishing should continue to improve as hopefully the storms are behind us.
